View My Dns is almost ready for a launch , got few of the free scripts all modified to suite my needs, and with help of my fellow peer got some a human verification or a captcha script in place hoping to block unwanted leeching if any.

So basically, View My DNS , is a site dedicated to webmasters/server owners to view and check their dns for issues, and also other cool dns tools and ip tools. View My Dns will try to offer you free Dns Reports / DNS Status checks. Please support the site by sharing it with the webmaster community and spreading the word about us. We have put in few minor annoying human verification checks to prevent hotlinks from other sites. Scripts used here to do dns check etc. are available free of cost from their respective coders. We have just modified them a bit to suite them for our DNS cravings. Cause i do get once in a blue moon customers starting up their first website and are not really sure about setting up nameservers and checking them if they have actually propagated or not.

Hoping to have it operational by friday or saturday. Will seek more dns and webmaster scripts (free ones) and try to incorporate them too so as to give more and more options/tools to webmasters.

Now for the main topic ” People rip off People” . Well being a computer nerd I suppose i can build you one computer exactly like that if not more powerful, for approximately $1650 . Thats right what seems to be a $2400 pc from the sounds of it by the poster(unless he got ripped off too), you can have it for $1650.

IF interested do shoot me an email or something. But anyways I suppose there are folks out there that will actually fall for such kind of rip offs. So, dont get ripped off when buying something you have no idea about in terms of price trends. Knowledge and asking around helps. If you are living in Saskatoon and interested in a system for that price tag of $1650 do post your comment will get back to you . O well back to work and remember its in our nature to rip others off . Do i rip people off ? Well i wouldnt say rip them off, i rather try to charge enough so it covers the original cost and maybe profits of $20 - $80 for each bigger sale. Hosting however i sell does not even hit that mark some times :). But still love the industry so much to learn, so many folks around to learn from and teach at the same time .

Some of you having any doubts than here is pdf file to look at the price it all can be built for from newegg, but in canada it might be maybe 100-200$ more expensive. PS: add $59 to the total for could not find that motherboard in stock and was prices 359 and was only able to find a board for $300 max. So total comes out to be 1531 USD. Now how does it even come closer to $2400 ? And remember that prices for computer parts keep dropping day by day, so same system if you read this post after a year i am sure can be built for less than 800$ . Details :

a. So got this request to make cd’s for someone here in mechanical department, and also their cd covers/lables. Nothing too extreme of a request but am still waiting for approval of my cd design i made by them, so i can convert it the printer friendly version (Epson R260 is the printer we will be using). So, hopefully by friday they will have both content and design approved so we go in production :). Probably will need to burn atleast 150 CD’s and print labels on each, so look at about 3-4 hrs of cover snapping and 8-16 hrs of cd burning ahead of me :). (KOOL but boring stuff)

b. Now using Solidworks is something really cool and fun, for my biomedical project i got my hands on training (only small intro) to how to make few cool shapes (like rectangles and circles ) and exctuding them and cutting them and stuff. This design we are doing for Podium does not seem too bad… Took me however few hrs to figure out how to start actually building it, started with the wrong view (top view) at first but that was not working out well , so looked at some tutorial and found that he started with the right plane.

So i decided to be smart like the solid works tutorial guy ! and ended up making the initial podium design in like 5 mins …… That was like yesterday, but still am waiting to hear back from the shops people of what kinda sheet metal thickness is available so i can accordingly have to design it to give it the strength it needs. Making cable runners is on it is fun , might as well design something else like the Clamp to hold it in place on the table too.. today.

But its fun and a nice switch from daily webmaster stuff to mechanical design stuff (mind u i aint no mechincal engineer, more like i am electronics engineer ) .

I shall post the design here on the blog when its all finished for people to download and look at my noobish solidworks skills !!

Spent few hours today fixing Tamer’s usb key’s he send to me (arrived this Friday just in nick of time before i left work for home ) . Here is yet another USB Fixing blog post, today two sticks each with Controller MXT6208A and Memory Samsung 725/ K98G08U0M/ WNE197PA ( thats actually 8 gigaBIT memory, that means 1 gigaBYTE or 1 GB of capacity).

Sticks as usual came with the fancy shiny 16 GB stickers on them. I really liked the blue looking key, I wish it had been easy to rip open, but had a metal casing on top of it so I had to peel that away first and now stick looks hideous without that casing :(. The white one I was able to put back together without cosmetic damage !!

Hiya all,

Sorry for not getting back to the comments and not approving new comments, was busy moving to new appartment, cause thanks to stupid ass condo conversion, our apartment wer were living in was marked for demolition this June, and with crazy 1% vacancy rate in the city, its a miracle even finding an apartment.

But anyways got GM truck from a friend at work, and was able to in 6 toes, over the 2 weeks period move everything over, not much loss as we can so far tell occured,  just that lost out plant, and air pump for my bicycle . Will try to see or trace where it might have gone, other than that, just minor cuts and scuffs on hands and brueses on the foot etc etc are left after the move, tomorrow big day for me, as i get to cable my puter and tv up and set the entertainment system and stuff.

Damn wireless D-Link router that my brother swaped his with happens to have no wireless at all and had to hardwire the puter in living room !! Atleast a 70 feet cable is required, keeping my fingers crossed for the video/audio system transfer from my puter to the TV in living room hopefully it will go all well and not much signal loss will be there !

Oh not to mention had to mark 43 comments as spam, so if your comments got removed do forgive me, was a mistake if you were not the spammer :). However, Spammers can just go to hell !!

Hiya all, totally forgot to write this tutorial on how to fix your flashed/fake usb key you got off ebay which uses ICREATE - i5128 controller chip to flash it to wrong capacity, and uses Hynix memory chip.

Got scammed by some ebay seller, and want to fix your hacked key to its default memory to prevent data corruption on your memory stick. Well here is a simple step by step procedure to fix memory of your hacked or fake usb keys.

First lets fix a Memory / USB Key having AU6890 or higher controller/flash chip. I was scammed and was given a Hynix HY27UT088G2M memory which is by the way 1 Gigs space total and not 8GB or anything else. So, lets flash it back to its default 1 GB value and fix this sucker good.

First of all you will need to open up your usb key case, do not worry most ebay keys are easy to open, i opened mine with just my finger nails. Some might need exacto knife or something that will do the trick. Now look at the memory controller chip.

Flip the memory key and look at what memory you actually have on the darn usb key. Here is what I had Hynix HY27UT088G2M : (more…)

After first ebay usb key scam , i thought that this time the seller was legitimate as was selling Kingston Key for decent $36 or so price. But guess what, second time I was scammed again, good part is got full refund both times, so now i have on me 2 USB sticks , one I reflashed to make it work with 2 gigs without issue, but other one i am having issues flashing it back to original 2 gb memory. Any ways here is a simple test to check if your usb key is hacked/flashed to show wrong memory.

Download the Zip package. Place the test.bmp file on the USB key, and open testscript.bat with NOTEPAD, and change drive letter U: to your USB key Drive letter , you do not want to fill the wrong drive up .

Run testscript.bat from your desktop (i would suggest you place it on your desktop so you do not loose track where you put the file ) , and let it rip, it goes slow till it hits the key maximum capacity after which you will see files copied really fast !!!!.

If its a 2 GB actually capacity on usb key, it will start copying really quick when you hit about 190 ish files, as the test.bmp is exactly 10 MB’s in size. And you will see corruption of images, either lines across the image, or big black rectangular block in the middle of the images.Meaning that your key has a capacity lower than what you think it has. How much does it actually have ? Use thumbnail view option and look at the images and see at which image the corrupt started, select all images that are good and check properties of the selected good images, thats your key’s real capacity, now time to open your stick up and fix it up !! As per tools used to flash it back to original state i will post later. As am busy trying to figure out how to flash this key back to 2 gig (K after a day or rather 6 hrs or search was able to flash my new Kingston DT 100 back to original. Damn now those scammers are ruining company names too.

Warning :

Please CHANGE drive letter U: to your usb key drive letter.

Place test.bmp on your usb key, Please format your usb key first using
quick format.

This was the second time, I wanted to look at the time in my watch, and guess what, the darn thing was RESET again to Year 1995, and Time was wrong !!. Just like it happened once few weeks back.

Last time it happened I was ok w/e must be the Sun and heat or something !!(my room gets sunshine whenever sun is there duuhhh.. and at times i leave my watch in the sunlight by mistake/ or out of laziness ) . But this time, i am sure i checked my watch last night and time was showing ok , and so was the year. But at happy hour (lunch time) I noticed it was reset again :(. Darn watch…. In the image below 1-1 is month - date , and 95 is the year it was reset to (factory built date , yes watch is pretty old but still works)

By the way wondering what am i talking about when i say “Year” , well this watch displays year, date, day and time all at once :). Also has feature to store 30 Phone numbers, which ofcourse get erased too after the reset. Attached is the screenie of the watch (yes its in bad shape as i have not got time to go and buy it a new wrist strap, just using it as pocket watch for now ) .

Wow weird experience, but true, today i was able to actually wake myself from my own dream, by just realizing that i am only in a dream and just woke myself up !!

Strangely, i even remember what the dream was all about and at what stage i realized i was actually in a dream !!!  Not sure if i should share my dream but whatever i watch whole bunch of movies so they must be corrupting my dreams of something !!

It was more like a war scenario (army front line sort of thing) lots of shooting was going on, and there was this enemy (i do not even remember subduing him but w/e ) bunker (those tunnel things in ground to shield from bullets and stuff) with a big fatass tree few feets from it. So after taking over the enemy or whoever, i had some gun in my had (those automatic ak47 things i suppose) and saw my buddy approaching from one side of the tree, and i starting waving with my left hand telling him its safe to come there etc etc.. but the Tree blocked our eye contact view, so he could not see my face and comes around the tree and without caring to look who it was, puts 3 bullets in my stomach. And since there was still firing going around moves on as if he did not even care lolz !! So, i sit there in the ditch (bunker whatever u call it) all stunned at what just happened, cause i remembered i was just in a building with the same dudes parents at his place or something getting ready to go to work or college or something.
