Hi like many others I was duped with the purchase of a fake 64gb Kingston usb drive (ebay again)
It appears this is actually a 2gb pen.
Opened it up and discovered a Samsung mem chip ..
SAMSUNG 937 K9GAG08U0M

I realise the partition size could be changed but ideally I’d like to restore the chips correct correct configuration ..by reflashing.
Does anyone know if there is a tool to do this …and walk me through the process.

december 21 2012 is predicted by the myans that it is dooms day. judging on the myans no longer exist i think it will not happen. and in the bible it says we will get many warnings a wile before it happens and we have recieved no warnings watsoever. and in history many people said it would happen already and guess what we are still here. some time in the 1800s a man predicted that that jesus will come and take the worthy to heaven and he dressed in white and went to the tallest hill in his area with a bible along with many other people and jesus never came.

Food for thought. Thankyou for that, but I have further thanks to deliver. I am color blind (protanopia to be exact). I use Safari browser (not sure if that is of any importance), and several web pages are difficult to understand as a result of a problematic range of colors employed ithe design. In your case, as the range of colours is reasonable, the website is very clear and straightforward to read. I am not certain whether this was a planned and kind undertaking, or simply a happy accident, but I still thank you.

unfortunately my flash doesn’t work, the ameco tool 8209 is the only one that find’s automatically my flash, but that is not enough , at the end of the format it gives me an

error: download external code failed! ID=ADD314A5 elapse=1609s

if you know something about this, don’t hesitate Thanksss…

i have a flash 64 gig Chinese , chipset ameco mW8209, the problem is solved now. I just wanted to help you solve yours:

HY27UT088G2M 1 Gb is seen by ameco8209/6820 tool

I got a “datatravler 200″ supposed to be 128 gigs, was a fake of course with:

Controller Chip: FC8508
Flash Chip: FBNL63ANAK3WG

Just hit the following Russian site, download “FC MpTool” unpack the rar, pop the stick in and run FC MpTool.exe. Note: you may wanna download WinRAR from download.com if you don’t already have it, or 7ZIP can unpack the file (just not as user friendly). FC MpTool is fairly straight forward, just click on the drive letter and hit start.

You can download “H2testw 1.4″ to verify that the fixed drive can reliably store and retrieve data on the whole partition.

I have a Kingston 32 GB usb.

I have opened it out and the chip nos are:
Controller: eFortune EU201CT 094458 4698763
Memory: HYNIX HY27US16562A TPIB r 705a

I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THE TOOL FOR CORRECTING THE DEVICE.

I tried MPTool-2007103-Fix-Usb-key

While the controler responds, the memory chip reference for this chip does not show up in the dropdown.

The closest, I thought was HY27US081656M, and tried. But nothing has happenned.
Next trial was with HY27US08561M

Memory chip of series HY27US16xxxxx are not available in the drop down.

Now looking for any suggestions & help.
